Vote YES on the Buckeye Union High School District Bond to ensure that the growth in new students in Buckeye and Goodyear is met with the infrastructure to keep all our schools excellent. A YES vote funds a new high school and provides essential upgrades to existing schools, increasing classroom safety, ensuring access to quality lab technology, workforce development programs, and equipping students for today’s in-demand careers - all without raising the tax rate.

The Proposed Bond Includes

A Fourth High School
Growth in Buckeye and Goodyear has left our schools filled to the brim with no unused space. Teachers are teaching from carts and moving from classroom to classroom to maximize available space. This bond would fund a much needed fourth high school at the corner of Perryville Rd & Durango St.

Repairing & Renovating Existing Schools
Existing schools in BUHSD are in desperate need of repair to critical pieces of infrastructure like the replacement of aging AC units and upgrades to science and art classrooms and even bathrooms.

Financial Accountability
By state law, BUHSD is required to allocate the bond money in accordance with the Proposed Capital Improvements table in the Voter Information Pamphlet, and it is required to conduct an annual public meeting to report on how bond proceeds have been spent. Additionally, with the passage of this bond, BUHSD will take advantage of a land donation at Estrella Mountain High School to improve traffic and build new athletic fields. The land donation is contingent upon bond passage.

Whether students want to learn trade skills, go onto college, or be their family’s next generation of farmers, this bond will support them by improving specialized classrooms in subjects ranging from science to agriculture to culinary arts.

Student Safety
The bond will improve student safety of BUHSD schools by funding security cameras on all campuses, improving fire alarm systems, and updating fencing around schools.
